Thanks to the love of the area and the initiative of Ole Wiig, an architect from Oslo and new apartment owner at Colletta di Castelbianco and active member of the cultural association, Colletta di Castelbianco will be holding a 3 day Festival of extra-virgin Olive Oil produced from Colletta's own taggiasca olives.

Everyone who is interested is invited to actively participate in the harvest of the olives, as well as their transport to Frantoio Garello in Nasino where they will be pressed and bottled into the oil, baptized "Goccia Dorata" by Ole.

It is a tribute to the village, a tribute to the environment around it and to the importance of regional characteristics, a tribute to everyone who has believed in the revitalization of the village and its continued improvement and advancement.

It will be an event with a multinational flavour, due to the involvement of many of the owners of the village, who come from many areas of Europe and further abroad, and who have indicated that they'll be actively participating.

It is also a symbolic undertaking, in support of local products and the life that revolves around them.

For the occasion, the Telecaffè, Restaurant Antiche Pietre di Colletta, Restaurant Scola and Restaurant Gin will be preparing dishes based on the extra-virgin taggiasca olive oil of Colletta:

Friday 3 December 2004 : Dinner at Ristorante GIN at 20.30. Menu: Pinzimonio di verdure stagionali, Lesso di vitello con salsa alle olive, Sformatine al basilico; Zuppa di ceci con rosmarino, Ravioli di boragine all’olio extra vergine di taggiasche; Tagliata di vitello con zucca in agrodolce; Soffiato di pere all’olio e cioccolata calda; Wines : Pigato,Vermetino,Rossese. €. 35,00 tc.
